The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor have opened grant competitions for the TRIO Talent Search and Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) programs. This year’s competitions include a competitive preference priority for projects or proposals carried out by state-level entities—including state higher education agencies—reflecting the administration’s broader emphasis on a more prominent state role in federal education efforts.
To help agencies take advantage of this opportunity, SHEEO will host a webinar on Monday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, featuring Amanda Miller, President of Seventh Street Strategies and former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Higher Education Programs at the U.S. Department of Education.
The webinar will focus on:
- An overview of the Talent Search and EOC grant competitions and key program requirements
- Strategic considerations for state agency participation
- Q&A and discussion
