Ernest Ezeugo

Policy Analyst

Ernest Ezeugo joined SHEEO in September 2020. He serves as a policy analyst in the Washington, D.C., office, where his primary responsibility is supporting the development, administration, and analysis of SHEEO’s Strong Foundations survey of state postsecondary systems. He also develops technical assistance and professional development materials for state-level data practitioners and contributes to agenda development for SHEEO’s national convenings of data practitioners, researchers, and policy analysts.

 

Before joining SHEEO, Ezeugo was the policy director at the National Campus Leadership Council (NCLC), where he directed the organization’s policy advocacy efforts and helped build infrastructure for elevating student voice in higher education policy. Prior to that, he worked at New America in the Education Policy program and at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Postsecondary Education and the Office of Educational Technology. He attended the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University.

 

Outside of his work, Ernest enjoys writing. He contributes to the Forbes Education section and has bylines in the Hechinger Report, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, and Slate.
