John Armstrong

Senior Policy Analyst

John Armstrong joined SHEEO in April 2014. He currently serves as a senior policy analyst, focusing on effective use of state data systems, strategies to encourage college completion, and tuition governance. Mr. Armstrong coordinates SHEEO’s partnership with Complete College America, writes reports on state data systems, and collects and analyzes a variety of quantitative and qualitative data from SHEEO agencies and other higher education sources. Mr. Armstrong previously served SHEEO as an information analyst. Before joining SHEEO, Mr. Armstrong worked as a data analyst at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. He holds a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts in music education from the University of St. Thomas. When not working, Mr. Armstrong enjoys hiking, swing dancing, and traveling around the country in search of great food, especially burritos.
