Inaugural Economic and Workforce Development Officers Convening

This convening marks the first in-person meeting of the new SHEEO Economic and Workforce Development (EWDO) constituency group dedicated to serving the needs of these nascent positions amongst the SHEEO membership. As state higher education agencies are increasingly integrated into economic and workforce development activities in their states and localities, state higher education executives are establishing new senior-level roles to represent their agency in these engagements and initiatives.

The SHEEO EWDO convening will serve to provide:

• Connection with Economic and Workforce Development peers,
• Professional development on emerging policy and practice issues, and
• Establish a set of priority focus areas for the field.
