The State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) invites you to a webinar where we’ll present work we have done modeling the implications of changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on students and state financial aid programs. Using data from the National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS) as well as student-level financial data from states, we model the change from EFC SAI, Pell eligibility and award amounts, and eligibility for state financial aid programs. SHEEO will be joined by the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority to discuss how they are modeling and responding to FAFSA simplification in their state, with particular focus on their state student aid programs.
The webinar will conclude with ample time for questions and discussion of the impacts of FAFSA simplification within states.
