Second Chances, Stronger States: SHEEO’s Higher Education in Prison Convening

SHEEO’s learning community on higher education in prison will come together May 11-12, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia. State teams will share about and learn from leading state examples, explore strategies to align prison education with high-value workforce pathways and build meaningful data systems, and center student perspectives to inform policy and practice. The event will offer opportunities for action planning and state showcases that help teams translate insights into next steps for statewide coordination and quality at scale.
