Andrea Maertens joined SHEEO as a human resources consultant in January 2022, and is based in Washington, D.C. In this role, she supports the organization’s human resource needs, including recruitment, benefits and compensation, compliance, and employee relations. Before joining SHEEO, Maertens worked as an HR consultant, supporting the needs of various national higher education policy and advocacy organizations in the Washington, D.C., area. Prior to consulting, she served as the HR director at The Education Trust. She’s also worked on executive search services at Isaacson, Miller. She holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Tulane University. She is a Society of Human Resource Management-Certified Professional.
