David Szczesny joined SHEEO in 2018 and serves as Director of Finance. In this role, Szczesny manages the organization’s finance, accounting, and various HR-related functions.

Before joining SHEEO, Szczesny spent 17 years as Budget Manager and Associate Director of Finance for the National Writing Project, an educational nonprofit and network of university-based sites headquartered in Berkeley, CA. Their mission is to improve the teaching of writing in schools and communities across the country.

Szczesny holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University and a master’s degree in resource interpretation from Stephen F. Austin State University.
