Financial Aid Learning Community Convening

The State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) hosted its second in-person convening of its Financial Aid Learning Community. This multifaceted project is designed to help states prepare for the new FAFSA and consider ongoing improvements to state financial aid programs.

SHEEO will hosted a Learning Community convening on September 7-8, 2023, in Alexandria, Virginia. The Learning Community convening gave opportunity for states to connect with their peers and reflect in-depth on the challenges and opportunities associated with the 2024-25 FAFSA launching in December and strategies for improving state aid programs. This two-day closed meeting provided an opportunity for state teams to hear updates from FSA staff, discuss shared experiences, and workshop strategies and solutions with their counterparts across the country.
